David McClister's Photography at Morrison Hotel Gallery #art @MorrisonGallery

Tucked away on Prince Street in Soho is the Morrison Hotel Gallery of Fine Art Music Photography. During the past summer the gallery hosted the work of David McClister, a Nashville based photographer specializing in documentary, photojournalism and portraiture.

David McClister's Americana Photography Strictly Prohibited, was a great exhibition and the  pleasure being able to meet Mr McClister in person and talk about his life and work made the experience if that more spectacular.

When I am sent to cover events such as this it is often hard to resist shooting the art being displayed as the focus of my coverage while using those viewing it as foreground, thus using the viewer to frame and create depth in the image of an image.

Square Enix Preview @SquareEnixUSA #SquareEnix

This post maybe late but New York has been abuzz for the last 3 weeks, ranging from New York Comic Con 2015 to TechWeek and GetGeeked just to name a few events.

During that time I attended Square Enix's preview for their upcoming list of titles and I was able to have a hands on experience with some of their HOT upcoming tittles, not to mention talk with the Game Director of Just Cause 3 Roland Lesterlin as he demoed the title.

The line up included new installations to the Hitman, Just Cause, Tomb Raider, Life is Strange and Deus Ex titles. I have to admit that I was very pleased with the direction developers are taking to continue to make games interesting and challenging to the gaming community. All I can say is good bye to completely linear game play and hello to a level of individuality in your game play.

New York City once again host Techweek #TechWeekNYC

During the week of October 12 - 18,  New York was once again host to TechWeek festival, allowing attendees the opportunity to explore and and experience whats new in the tech world today.

The new CEO TechWeek Katy Lynch was present at this years gathering, stoping by booths to talk to exhibitors, giving interviews and just mingling with the crowd.

This TechWeek's festival was a little different, as attendees were for the first time able to walk around the floor while at the same time being able to listen panel talks that were happening on wireless headsets provided by Silent Disco Tour. There was also a music channel if you just wanted to listen to some cool tunes as you roamed the floor.

Among this years exhibitors were many companies targeting the food and service industry from an app Thanks! allowing users to send to waiters directly users of the app or via their email or text. Supper, is a new service that list restaurants and and bars in your vicinity. However, what makes this service different is it filters the venues based on what mood you are in. Every venue on Supper is curated by musicians, fashion designers and creatives. Users of the app will have access to the venues' music playlist as well as photography on the venues' profile .

Other exhibitors present included American Express, IBM, Redbull, Linksys just to name a few as well as some talent scouting agencies. Overall this years Techweek was once again a resounding success provding entrepreneurs, tech visionaries and thought leaders a meeting place to share and build together.

Having recently made a HUGE life changing decision, I am soon after was then faced with a harsh reality that I spend a lot of time suppressing. Feeling lost and frustrated yet trying to remain hopeful and positive, I set out to ease my mind in the way I have done since I was young. However this time with a different twist.

I picked up my camera and went to park to loose myself behind the lens. However, something different lay in store for me. In stead of being able to hide from what I was feeling I found it on the other side of my lens, and it made me feel it even more.
